Kingfishers

Key information:

• This term the children will move into learning groups for English and Maths.  These will take place during the morning Mon-Weds.  Children will be taught by Ms Hull or Mrs O’Brien depending on which group they are in.   Children will be bringing home a SATs revision and workbook for both English and Maths.
• PE will be on Monday afternoon (hockey) when children can come into school in their PE kit.  Please can children wear a plain white t-shirt and navy/black shorts (no football strips please).  As the weather may be cold, children may also want to wear a black sweatshirt and jogging bottoms too.  The children will also have an Outdoor Learning session on Friday morning.  Please can children wear appropriate clothing (warm layers, waterproof coat and appropriate footwear).
• Homework for this term will consist of English and Maths tasks.  Children should also be reading at least 3 times per week.  They will have a times table target and it will  be tested on a Friday.
• Children will have weekly spellings which will be tested on a Monday with the next week’s spellings taught directly after.  Children’s spellings for this term can be found on the link below.
• There will be a parent SATs meeting on Tuesday 11th February at 3.10pm in Kingfishers.  The meeting will provide information on the tests and what SATs week will look like.
